Cristine Raquel Rotenberg (born October 17, 1988), commonly known as Cristine, or her stage name, "Simply Nailogical" is a full time crime and health statistics analyst, former child actress, blogger, and Canadian YouTube personality known for her role in commercials and for creating nail art tutorial videos.
As of March 2018, Rotenberg's main YouTube channel has over 5.3 million subscribers, while her secondary channel has over 2 million subscribers. Collectively, her two channels have over 840 million views and 7.3 million subscribers.
Rotenberg has been praised for her humour and welcoming YouTube presence. J-14 magazine describes Rotenberg "the face of nail art in the internet world." Rotenberg describes herself as having an "out-of-the-box" approach to beauty tutorials.

Early life
Cristine Rotenberg was born October 17, 1988 in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. She has one sister, Jennifer, who is featured in her videos. From the late 1990s to the early 2000s, Rotenberg starred in fifteen commercials for various children's products including Furby and Fib Finder. At the age of 13, Rotenberg played the role of young Sophia in the 2002 film "Charms for the Easy Life." (Mimi Rogers played the adult Sophia.) She eventually decided to stop child acting to focus on school.
In 2014, Rotenberg received a master's degree in sociology with a concentration in criminology from Carleton University.

Shortly after defending her master's thesis, Rotenberg launched her Simply Nailogical blog in February 2014. Prior to making her videos, Rotenberg initially posted pictures of her own nail art. Her blog has been inactive as of June 2016.
YouTube
Rotenberg launched her first channel, Simply Nailogical, in June 2014. She initially focused on short nail art videos that were less than a minute long. Eventually, after fans requested to hear her voice, Rotenberg became more outgoing on YouTube. She began to record voiceovers in her videos, made her tutorials longer, and appeared on-camera. Rotenberg has coined the term 'holosexual' in her videos which describes someone who is obsessed with holographic polish and calls her followers this term as well.
In June 2016, Rotenberg posted a video of herself applying over 100 coats of nail polish titled 100+ Coats of Nail Polish #POLISHMOUNTAIN. Her video quickly went viral, and her video was copied by many other YouTubers, such as Jenna Marbles. The Daily Dot praised Rotenberg's video, calling it one of 2016's most popular video trends. Soon after the video was posted, Rotenberg's subscriber count had doubled. Her video was featured in the Fine Brothers' College Kids React series in August 2016.
Since her viral video, Rotenberg's main channel primarily focuses on nail art tutorials, humour skits, beauty tutorials, and much more. Her videos feature her cats and her boyfriend Ben at times, with her family appearing in some videos posted.
In September 2015, Rotenberg created her second YouTube channel, Simply Not Logical. Rotenberg began posting videos on Simply Not Logical in August 2016, with her first video being titled Simplymailogical #1. On Simply Not Logical, Rotenberg primarily posts vlogs and content outside of her usual nail art tutorials.
Collaborations
Nail Polish
Rotenberg has collaborated with different nail polish producing companies to create collections, or specific colors, for the brands. One collection was entitled SIMPLYNAILOGICAL COLLECTION by F.U.N. Lacquer and compromised of 6 Holographic colors. The collection was promoted in a video on her channel and on her blog. Through collaboration with the site Live Love Polish, she also released two Starrily brand nail polishes called Menchie the Cat and Zyler the Cat, named after her pets. Included in the same set were the polishes Hustler and Adventure Capitalist.
Philanthropy
In May 2017, Rotenberg and her boyfriend Benjamin raised $25,000 for the Ottawa Humane Society by selling merchandise with their cats, Menchie and Zyler on it. As a result of their work, a room in the humane society was named after Rotenberg's two cats, Menchie and Zyler.
On August 19, 2017, Rotenberg announced that she would be giving away one semester's worth of tuition to a subscriber that is currently enrolled in a Canadian college or university to motivate them to pursue higher education.

Rotenberg works full time as a crime and health statistics analyst, and currently resides in Ottawa, Canada with her boyfriend, Benjamin Mazowita, and their two cats, Menchie and Zyler.
